Free courses do most of the work. These are for the harder Advanced syllabus, and for practising under real conditions.
RPAS Operations Guide
The 48-page guide to the full Advanced exam syllabus — airspace, meteorology, human factors, emergencies — plus nine field checklists. The core study resource.
Practice Exam — 50 Q
Fifty original questions pitched at the Advanced exam and weighted the way it is, with every answer explained. Grouped by subject, with a scoring guide. Know where you stand before you book.
Basic Study Pack
The complete free Basic course as a printable PDF, plus a one-page cheat sheet of every number for the flight bag. The web version stays free; this is the offline edition.
The Advanced Exam Kit
The three things worth having for the Advanced exam and your first flight review, together: the 48-page Operations Guide, the 50-question Practice Exam, and the Site Survey & Authorization Kit you’ll need on the day. Bought separately that’s CA$97 — the kit is CA$79.
Fly compliant.
For pilots already certified and out on jobs. These are working documents, not study aids — the paperwork that keeps an operation legal and defensible.
Site Survey & Authorization Kit
A fillable pre-operation record built directly on the eight site-survey factors of CARs 901.27 — airspace and NOTAM log, obstacle and hazard register, operational risk assessment, emergency plan and sign-off. One set per job. Also the best possible flight-review prep.
Field Checklists
Nine field-ready checklists — pre-flight, take-off, landing, post-flight, battery care, crew and IM SAFE, plus lost-link and fly-away emergencies with a fly-away radio script. Print, laminate, carry.
Advanced Flight Review
The in-person practical assessment that completes your Advanced certificate, with a certified reviewer and a debrief that tells you the truth. Not a download — a booking.
The Working Pilot Kit
Everything a certified pilot needs out on jobs, together: the nine Field Checklists, the Site Survey & Authorization Kit built on CARs 901.27, and the 48-page Operations Guide as the reference behind both. Bought separately that’s CA$90 — the kit is CA$69.

What format are the downloads?
PDF, delivered immediately after checkout with a permanent re-download link. They read on a phone or tablet and print cleanly — the checklists and cheat sheet are designed to be printed and carried.
Do I need to buy anything to get certified?
No. The free courses cover the whole certification pathway, and the Basic exam needs nothing more. These paid resources save you time — the Advanced depth in one place, printable formats, and working templates — but the information itself is free on this site.
Can I get a refund?
They're digital downloads, so they can't be returned in the usual sense. If a resource isn't what you expected, email us within 14 days and we'll refund you. We'd rather do that than have you feel short-changed.
Are these licensed for a whole team?
They're licensed for personal and single-operator use. For multi-pilot or organizational licensing — several staff, or a company operations manual — get in touch and we'll sort out a licence.
Get the Canadian drone rules on one page
Every core limit for Basic and Advanced operations — altitudes, distances from people and airports, airspace and the fines for getting it wrong. Printable for the flight bag. We'll also email you when the rules change.
